How the Shape Series Is Made
Every image in the Shape series is AI-generated. We say this on each book's store page and throughout this site, in plain words, because we would rather be chosen for what these books are than mistaken for what they are not.
What “AI-generated” means here
Each plate starts as a written scene — one action, one object, one light. The image is generated, then inspected at full size: finger counts, joint logic, the way cloth folds, and whether a watch face carries a real brand by accident. Images that fail inspection are regenerated or discarded.
What we do not claim
The published books are presented as AI-generated visual studies, not as documentary photographs of identified real people. No biography is invented for the author name; Ao Hozumi is a pen name for a small publishing project, and we do not claim otherwise.
Why the books have no faces
Two reasons. Practically, the books are designed to keep attention on hands, fingers, cloth, and light. Artistically, a hand holding a cup tells a day's story without borrowing anyone's identity — the reader's imagination supplies the rest, and that is the point.
All images were generated using AI. Any resemblance to real persons or organizations is unintended.
